Under the umbrella of the Stephen Lewis Foundation, the Grandmother to Grandmother Campaign is organizing a cross Canada post card campaign this summer. The post cards urge MPs to support a Private Member's Bill (Bill C 393) which, if passed will allow generic drug manufacturers in Canada to supply affordable antiretroviral drugs to sub SaharanAfrica. At the moment, without proper treatment, half of the children born HIV positive will die before they are two. The drugs that Canada could send would reduce this by 75%. Most of these children are orphans and are being cared for by their grandmothers.

Mission: The Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign seeks to raise awareness and mobilize support in Canada for Africa's grandmothers.

The Land Conservancy of B.C. Metro Vancouver

The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC) has been working since 1997 to protect the province’s special places. These ‘special places’ reflect the many facets of life in BC as TLC aims to conserve not only wildlife habitat but important agricultural and heritage places as well.

Protecting areas such as the Sooke Potholes, Madrona Farm and the Historic Joy Kogawa House requires an intricate network of partners. We invite you to explore your BC backyard with TLC and become a fellow partner in conserving BC’s special places.
